Vintage Rolex Precision Cushion Case SOLD

Vintage Rolex Precision Cushion Case, reference 3428.

This lovely watch is housed in a 9k yellow gold case which has seen very little wear over its 73 years of life, as evident from how little the engraving on the case back has worn.

The case back is engraved "PRESENTED TO, JAMES W. McGILL ESQ., BY, Messrs. Isdale & McCallum Ltd, ON, HIS RETIRAL AFTER, 61 YEARS SERVICE, 31.10.49." meaning this gentleman started at the company in 1888 at probably a young age.
Isdale & McMallum Ltd were soap manufacturers based in Paisley, England. The company now seems to have been taken over by Unilever.

The watch has been fully serviced and comes guaranteed in full running condition.
Please note, this is not a water resistant watch.

The silver colored dial is in very good condition. There are minor spots on it but it is completely original, as are the hands.
