Backstory:
The Edox Delfin Fleet 1650 Limited Edition is inspired by a 17th century Dutch trade ship. It was called The Tijger, Dutch for ‘tiger’, and was part of the East India Trading Company. It left the port of Batavia, Indonesia, in early the 1650s, however, the fleet has never reached its destination. The Tijger was beached after a heavy storm, the crew is rescued by neighboring ships, but the Tijger was lost.
Today, Edox sponsors an expedition to find The Tijger, and of course this is a great excuse for a special edition timepiece.
