Rolex Submariner Date, reference 16610, from 1999. The quintessential dive watch — a 40mm stainless steel case, black dial, and rotating bezel that's as at home in the office as it is underwater.

This example has just been through a full mechanical service in our workshop. All gaskets have been replaced and the case pressure-tested for water resistance, so it's ready to be worn and relied upon.

The case has been lightly polished over its life, though the original factory finish is still visible on the top of the lugs — a good sign it hasn't been over-polished. The aluminium bezel insert carries a few small marks consistent with its age, and the bracelet remains in good condition with no notable stretch.
